Real Madrid star Raúl Asencio reiterated his commitment to the cause in Spain’s capital in the club’s latest outing.

This comes amid confirmation that the defender played through the pain against Levante.

Real Madrid are of course fresh off securing a much-needed return to winning ways, at the expense of Levante.

And en route to an eventual 2-0 result, stopper Asencio played a starring role.

The 22-year-old was solid in his defending throughout, comfortably outperforming defensive partner Dean Huijsen.

Not only that, but Asencio proved himself decisive at the other end, too, courtesy of a brilliant header to round out the scoring at the Santiago Bernabéu.

And as alluded to above, all of this came despite the Spaniard having been playing whilst some way off full fitness.

As per a report from Marca on Saturday evening, Asencio took to the pitch earlier today with both a broken nose, and a deviated septum.
