Real Madrid star rejects Xabi Alonso & Bayer Leverkusen | OneFootball

A headline member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid recently knocked back an approach from German record-breakers Bayer Leverkusen.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Nacho as being the player in question.

Real captain Nacho is of course primed to bring an end to his career-long stint on the books in Spain’s capital this summer.

As much comes with the stopper, now 34, having come to the decision not to renew his expiring terms at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Upon learning of as much, the aforementioned Bayer Leverkusen, in turn, made contact with Nacho’s entourage.

However, as per the aforementioned Relevo, the veteran defender showed little hesitation in rebuffing the advances of Xabi Alonso and co.

This comes with Nacho having made clear that his time at the elite level of the game is set to end upon his departure from Madrid.

The Spanish international, instead, has set his sights firmly on a move to the United States:

‘Together with his agency, he is working to find an MLS club, where he can extend his career a few more years and retire in one of the fashionable leagues,’ it is concluded.
