La Liga giants Real Madrid were on Monday afforded a timely boost on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Brahim Díaz has rejoined group training alongside the rest of Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

Versatile attacker Brahim was for his part condemned to a spell on the sidelines last month, owing to a tear in the adductor longus muscle of his right leg.

The initial expectation at the time of the injury being confirmed was that the Moroccan international would not return to competitive action for a spell of around three months.

In turn, it came as a major surprise when, earlier this month, Brahim was spotted back out on the grass, for individualised training.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, the former AC Milan standout took another major step towards a return to competitive action.

As revealed by Fabrizio Romano, Brahim played his part in some of the group session held at Valdebebas this afternoon.

Though tomorrow’s Champions League meeting with Borussia Dortmund will come too soon, it is therefore not out of the question that the 25-year-old could be included in Real Madrid’s matchday squad to face Barcelona this weekend.
