La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Sunday been dealt an altogether considerable blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that a key member of the club’s frontline is expected to be sidelined long-term.
The player in question? Brahim Díaz.
Moroccan international Brahim for his part set alarm bells ringing in Spain’s capital on Saturday night.
This came upon the 24-year-old, after being afforded a starting berth in Real Madrid’s La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad, being forced into a first-half departure from proceedings.
Brahim, in turn, was subjected to a round of medical scans earlier today, to ascertain the extent of the damage done.
And, as alluded to above, confirmation of precisely as much has this evening come to the fore.
As per a report from Blancos insider Guillermo Rai of The Athletic:
‘Brahim Diaz will be out for almost 3 months with a right adductor injury. It is described [at Real Madrid] as a “very sad diagnosis”.’
