La Liga giants Real Madrid have today learned the extent of the injury suffered by Eduardo Camavinga on Wednesday.
Midfielder Camavinga was for his part of course in from the off last night, as Real Madrid made the trip to Anfield for a Champions League showdown with Liverpool.
En route to an eventual 2-0 defeat, however, the Frenchman was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.
Early in the 2nd-half, Camavinga pulled up suddenly off the ball, with what appeared to be a muscular problem.
After being tended to by the visitors’ medical team, it quickly became clear that the 22-year-old was in no condition to continue, limping off to be replaced by Dani Ceballos as a result.
And, as alluded to above, Carlo Ancelotti and his staff have since been afforded an insight into just how long Camavinga is likely to be unavailable for selection.
As per a report from ESPN, amongst others:
‘Eduardo Camavinga will be out for around three weeks, a source has told ESPN, after he picked up a muscular injury in his left leg in Wednesday’s 2-0 Champions League defeat to Liverpool.’
