Real Madrid star ruled out of Elche clash | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without another member of the club’s defensive ranks for their upcoming clash with Elche.

The player in question? Raúl Asencio.

Real Madrid are of course primed to return to action in short order.

Amid ongoing efforts to hunt down arch rivals Barcelona atop the Spanish top-flight table, Los Blancos will welcome the aforementioned Elche to the Santiago Bernabéu.

As alluded to above, though, in efforts to build on an impressive victory over Manchester City in midweek, Álvaro Arbeloa will not be able to call upon the services of Raúl Asencio.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘Raúl Asencio suffers muscle discomfort and will miss Real Madrid game against Elche.’

With the likes of Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, Rodrygo and Kylian Mbappé also unavailable through injury, Real Madrid have unveiled the following starting XI for the evening on Saturday:
