Real Madrid star stretchered off vs Benfica | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

This comes owing to developments in the club’s meeting with Benfica.

Los Blancos are of course currently locked in action on the continent, in a Champions League playoff 2nd-leg meeting with Benfica.

As things stand, Real are well on their way to the Last-16, leading by three goals to one on aggregate.

As alluded to above, though, an otherwise positive night’s work to date has been soured for the Spanish outfit by a blow on the injury front.

After a collision with teammate Eduardo Camavinga in the middle of the park, Raúl Asencio hit the turf with a thud, immediately looking in distress.

From here, the medical team quickly emerged onto the pitch, as concern surrounding Asencio’s wellbeing spread throughout the stadium.

After being surrounded by his teammates, the defender was subsequently stretchered off, ahead of an expected update post-match.
