Real Madrid star to return to starting XI vs Real Sociedad | OneFootball

A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is expected to return to the club’s starting line-up next time out.

This comes amid the understanding that Dani Carvajal is being lined up for a rare starting berth.

The name of right-back Carvajal has of course been a prominent one in the media headlines in Spain’s capital across the week to date.

As much comes after word was forthcoming that the experienced stopper had been left ‘pissed off’ with the lack of game-time afforded to him since recovering from injury.

Last weekend, Álvaro Arbeloa even opted for youth team talent David Jiménez ahead of Carvajal.

As alluded to above, though, if the latest word stemming from the press in Spain on Friday is anything to go by, then Carvajal’s minutes plea looks set to be imminently answered.

As per a report from Marca:

‘If the starting eleven the manager tested this Friday (in training) is the one he intends to field against Real Sociedad, the Real Madrid captain will start.’
