Real Madrid star to undergo medical tests after injury scare vs Liverpool | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Federico Valverde will be put through a round of medical tests and scans at Valdebebas on Thursday.

This comes after the Uruguayan suffered an injury scare against Liverpool last night.

Valverde was for his part in from the off once more at Anfield, taking his place at right-back amid the ongoing absence of Dani Carvajal.

Hooked from proceedings during the 2nd-half, however, it has since been revealed that the 27-year-old has picked up a fitness problem.

As per a report from Real Madrid insider Melchor Ruiz of COPE:

‘Tomorrow, medical tests will be carried out on Fede Valverde. The Uruguayan did not finish the match, with discomfort in the right adductor.’

Valverde’s concern of course only serves in adding further to what was a night to forget for Real Madrid on Tuesday.

After making the trip to England with spirits high in the camp fresh off a 4-0 drubbing of Valencia over the weekend, Los Blancos found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 1-0 result.
