Given the team’s recent form, which has put immense pressure on Xabi Alonso, it is clear that Real Madrid are looking forward to the year coming to an end.
Some would likely want the year to end sooner than others, including Endrick, who has had a season to forget so far.
After coming back from an injury, the Brazilian has featured in just 11 minutes of competitive action for Real Madrid, falling behind in the pecking order.
The youngster is not a part of Xabi Alonso’s plans, which is why he is destined to join Olympique Lyon on a loan deal in January.
In light of Endrick’s struggles at Real Madrid this season, his father has fired shots at Los Blancos through social media.
On Instagram, Douglas Sousa, posted a picture of his son sitting on the Real Madrid bench. In the caption, he quoted the Bible.

“Matthew 23:12: Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted,” Sousa wrote.
His use of a symbolic quote from the Bible is an obvious message to Real Madrid and this is not the first time Endrick’s father has made such an approach.
Not more than a month ago, Sousa, once again through social media, wrote a message for Endrick, accusing ‘others’ to ‘dim’ his light.
“I know, my son, how hard you work and how much you dedicate every minute of your day. I know everything you’re capable of. You’re a winner and you’re showing everyone that you’re a true warrior,” he wrote.
“Your star will continue to shine, even though some try to dim your light. I believe your future lies right there,” he added.
Thankfully for Endrick, though, the nightmare is soon coming to an end as he gears up for a January loan move to Lyon – a club likely to give him the opportunity to shine at the big stage.
