Defensively vulnerable for several weeks now, Real Madrid appears ready to make a major move in the transfer market. According to Fichajes, the Madrid board has tabled a €100 million offer for Tottenham Hotspur centre-back Cristian Romero.
This move highlights Florentino Pérez’s determination to quickly address glaring weaknesses, especially after the heavy defeat to Benfica in the Champions League. Despite the recent arrival of Álvaro Arbeloa on the bench, Madrid’s backline remains a major concern.
