Raúl Asencio's FIFA Club World Cup campaign went from bad to worse inside the opening 10 minutes of Real Madrid's second group game against Pachuca.
Xabi Alonso's side desperately needed to bounce back after their draw against Al Hilal earlier this week, but their task was made even harder when they were reduced to 10 men in the opening stages against Pachuca.
The Mexican side were able to capitalise on Madrid's high line and a run in behind from Salomón Rondón caused all sorts of problems.
The striker was subsequently hauled down by Madrid's Asencio, who was shown a red card for a last man challenge.
Pachuca failed to make the most of the resulting free-kick, but it’s fair to say Asencio hasn’t covered himself in glory at this tournament, having also conceded the penalty against Al-Hilal last time out.
Can Real Madrid still come out on top with 10 men?
