Real Madrid suffers Super League defeat, Gianni Infantino congratulates Nasser Al-Khelaïfi

The FIFA President has extended his congratulations to PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaïfi after the official collapse of Florentino Pérez's Super League project.

The 50th UEFA Congress, held in Brussels, kicked off on Wednesday with the announcement of the end of the Super League initiative. Real Madrid finally raised the white flag by officially confirming the project's failure. Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, president of the EFC (European Football Clubs association), managed to persuade Florentino Pérez to abandon the project that began in April 2021. The PSG president even received praise from FIFA.

“Congratulations to President Ceferin and to Nasser, who both deserve applause because football wins when we manage to unite,” declared Gianni Infantino on Thursday morning during the UEFA Congress. “Dear Nasser, your leadership played a decisive role in bringing everyone back into the family. Thank you, because I was tired (of this issue),” added Aleksander Ceferin, the UEFA President.
