Real Madrid summer signing has already ‘earned José Mourinho’s trust’ | OneFootball

A member of the summer recruitment drive at La Liga giants Real Madrid has done enough during his early weeks at the club to secure the trust of new manager José Mourinho.

That’s according to The Athletic, who highlight Bernardo Silva as the player in question.

Midfielder Bernardo of course put pen to paper on terms in Spain’s capital earlier this summer. Following the expiration of his Manchester City contract, the Portuguese turned down approaches from a number of rival suitors, to commit to the new project at Real Madrid.

After returning from international duty at the World Cup, the 32-year-old has since spent the last couple of weeks working to adapt to his new surroundings at Valdebebas.

And if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, Bernardo appears to be doing a fine job of as much thus far… As per a report from The Athletic:

‘There are a few players who have already earned Mourinho’s trust — and Bernardo is one of them.’
