Having taken all 15 points in La Liga so far this season, Real Madrid are the team to beat and it is clear that the Xabi Alonso era has got off to a flyer.
The most recent game against Espanyol handed Los Blancos a further boost as two players made their much-awaited returns from injury – Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.
Both players came on for fringe minutes and are expected to grow in prominence over the next few weeks. As relayed by Defensa Central, Alonso has had a special conversation with Bellingham over his role and gradual phasing in already.

As reported by the Spanish outlet, Xabi Alonso and Bellingham’s conversation revolved around the Englishman not being in the starting lineup for Real Madrid’s upcoming derby against Atletico Madrid.
While the player feels fit enough to start the high-stakes game, he understands the manager’s idea of taking it slow with him to avoid any complications.
The communication between Alonso and the midfielder, thus, is complete and the player agrees on returning to the team dynamics in a phased manner. After all, he will undoubtedly be an undisputed starter for the coach once he is fully fit.
While Alonso does not count on Bellingham as a starter for the derby, the update adds that he will still utilise the player’s services in the second-half if he feels the need for firepower in the game.
After all, not many players in world football have the same impact as Bellingham in converting the game into all-out attack, and Alonso thus sees him as a potent weapon on the night.
