Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. has always been a player who grabs attention, but this season, the spotlight has been on him for reasons he would rather avoid.
The 25-year-old Brazilian has scored three goals in nine appearances this term.
While he has also added four assists, giving him a total contribution of seven goal involvements, many feel his scoring form is not at the level expected from one of Los Blancos’ key stars.
Vinicius’ current performances have sparked debate, and questions are being raised about his role in the team, as well as whether a change in Real Madrid’s hierarchy under the new manager has affected his influence on the pitch.
Despite these concerns, there is no denying his ability to make an impact in crucial moments when called upon.
The recent study from Transfermarkt, a trusted source for player market values, has reflected these issues with a notable decline in Vinicius’ value.

In December 2024, he was valued at €200 million, but after two consecutive drops, his current market worth is €150 million.
Earlier this year, in June, he was valued at €170 million, showing a clear downward trend.
Blaseio, head of market values at LaLiga, explained the reasoning behind the drop,
“Vinicius has lost some of his status since he failed to win the Ballon d’Or a year ago. This also applies on the pitch.
“Furthermore, with the change of manager, the hierarchy at Real Madrid has been overhauled, and the winger now has a more secondary role than before. All of this has led to a devaluation.”
Even with the market adjustments, Vinicius remains vital for Real Madrid. His speed, dribbling, and attacking threat continue to make him a key weapon in La Liga and the Champions League.
