Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr.’s future remains a subject of ongoing speculation, despite having two years left on his current contract.
The 25-year-old superstar remains a target for Saudi Arabia, but has always maintained that he intends to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu and continue making history.
However, his words have not translated into actions as talks to extend his contract have stalled, and there is currently no agreement in sight.
There has been much speculation about the reasons behind the stalled negotiations, but the reality is that neither Florentino Perez nor Jose Angel Sanchez are pleased with Vinicius’ demand for a renewal bonus, as per reports relayed by Defensa Central.

As per the update, Vinicius is asking for a salary package of €30 million to place him on the same wage tier as Kylian Mbappe, who received a signing bonus because his transfer did not cost Madrid anything.
Real Madrid president Perez does not agree with the idea of paying a renewal bonus to a player already on the club’s payroll. However, he is offering the Brazilian attacker the maximum salary currently paid by the club.
The report further states that Real Madrid plan to have a face-to-face conversation with Vinicius upon his return from holiday.
The aim is to convince him that his future lies at the Santiago Bernabeu, but also to stress that his performance must improve, ideally returning to the level he showed during the 2023/2024 season.
