The youngster believes it is a good time to make a bid for a place in the first team, especially as Dani Ceballos has left a spot vacant, and Nico Paz is also not going to return for the next season.

Meanwhile, he also remains one of the most in-demand player from Castilla, and several sides have shown an interest in him. He already has offers on the table from La Liga, with Athletic Club trying to convince him for a move, and also from several clubs from the Premier League, including Fulham, where Arbeloa wants the player to rejoin him.

However, Cesar Palacios now has a clear objective, to convince Mourinho for a place with the Real Madrid first team, and only if he is clear that this is not a viable option he would look for other avenues.
