“Zidane’s impact on my career? Huge. His way of managing the squad and the trust he instills in players are incredibly rare. I’ve had some excellent coaches, but with Zidane, beyond the respect and admiration we all had for him, it was the way he spoke to us and treated us that was just remarkable. We couldn’t give less than 200% in training to match the standards set by this man. On top of that, he was tactically astute, thoroughly studied our opponents, and gave us all the tools we needed to win,” said the current Pumas UNAM goalkeeper.
