Diario AS reports that Real Madrid have decided to re-sign Nico Paz from Como by activating a €nine million buy-back this summer.
As part of their 2024 agreement with Como, Madrid kept three separate buy-backs. The €eight million option lapsed last summer, and the €nine million one is due when the window opens in July.
Paz, 21, has excelled since moving in 2024, delivering 10 Serie A goals and six assists, and he is now a regular for Argentina.
The only scenario in which he does not return is if he tells Madrid he does not want to come back. Club staff have already begun planning for the La Fabrica graduate’s reintroduction.
It shapes as a major summer for Paz, with a strong chance of making Argentina’s 2026 World Cup squad in North America. After the tournament, he will head back to Madrid on a permanent basis, while his focus remains on Como for now.
