Real Madrid are pushing on with their recruitment, and, according to Marca, have set an internal ceiling of around 220 million for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise.

The club have added Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konaté, with Denzel Dumfries still pending official confirmation. During his campaign, Florentino Pérez said Madrid would bid at least 150 million for a marquee Champions League player, and days later the club followed through.

Madrid issued a statement confirming a 150 million offer to Atlético de Madrid for Julián Álvarez, which Atlético rejected, pointing to a release clause of around 500 million. The move honoured Pérez's pledge, though a deal with their rivals always looked unlikely.

Various names were floated, but the priority has been Olise, now a leading wide player. Club president Herbert Hainer said Olise is on a long-term deal and that Bayern are not sellers, adding Pérez can spare himself sending an offer, which he said had not arrived.

Sky Sports Germany reports that a bid above 200 million could prompt a rethink in Munich. Separately, talk grew after Olise cleared his Instagram, though he has done similar after previous seasons, including in 2023 at Crystal Palace when he renewed.

With financial headroom after his re-election, Pérez appears ready to push hard for a marquee signing. Bayern's stance remains firm for now, but an offer at that level could test any resistance.
