Earlier this week, reports emerged claiming that Saudi Arabian club Al Ittihad had shown an interest in signing Real Madrid defensive mainstay Antonio Rudiger.

It was suggested that the Middle Eastern outfit are offering the 31-year-old centre-back a lucrative contract worth around €12-13 million per season to lure him away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, now, Fabrizio Romano reports that Rudiger has no interest in signing for Al Ittihad despite the possibility of earning a lucrative payday.

The German international is not at all considering the possibility of leaving Real Madrid at this point and remains fully committed and focused on the project at the Spanish capital club.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid also have zero interest in letting go of the 31-year-old former Chelsea man either and see him as an ‘untouchable’.

Rudiger was one of the team’s top performers in the season gone by, shining bright, especially in the absence of Eder Militao and David Alaba.

With the club missing out on Leny Yoro and letting go of Nacho Fernandez as well, there is simply no way that the exit of another centre-back will be considered, especially someone like Rudiger who is held in the highest of regard by manager Carlo Ancelotti.

As such, one can expect Rudiger to stay put at the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and continue to be a key part of the team next season, starting from the UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta in the second week of August.
