Real Madrid ‘very interested’ in deal for Porto star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid are expressing a keen interest in the signature of Porto star Victor Froholdt. This comes amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in the middle of the park in Spain’s capital.

Real Madrid have of course already seen one high-profile pursuit of fresh blood in midfield come up short this summer. After setting their sights firmly on the signature of then-Manchester City star Rodri, Los Blancos were forced to watch the 30-year-old take his talents to arch rivals Barcelona.

The Santiago Bernabéu brass, though, have evidently not yet thrown in the towel on their engine room search…

As per a report from Portuguese transfer journalist Ben Fernandes Santos:

‘Real Madrid are very interested in signing Victor Froholdt, Porto’s midfielder. The Dane has an €85 million release clause. Mourinho likes the player and already raved about him last year.’

Froholdt, just 20 years of age, is fresh off a breakout campaign in Portugal last time out, giving rise to eight goals and seven assists across all competitions.
