Vinicius Jr - Xabi Alonso

In a message posted on social media this Wednesday, Vinicius Jr apologized to Real Madrid fans following his behavior during the Clasico. However, the player did not mention Xabi Alonso. Those close to the Brazilian have responded.

Vinicius Junior decided to break his silence on Wednesday and issued an apology three days after the Clasico. "Today, I want to apologize to all Real Madrid supporters for my reaction when I was substituted during the Clásico. As I already did in person during today's training session, I also want to apologize again to my teammates, the club, and the president," he wrote.

But many noticed that Vinicius did not mention Xabi Alonso by name. According to AS, the two men did speak, but The Athletic reports that Vinicius deliberately left out his coach. "Those close to Vinicius explain that the omission of Alonso in the apology message was intentional, as he feels hurt by the way the coach has treated him. They also add that they have felt the support of the club in recent days," the outlet reports. The situation is far from resolved, especially as El Chiringuito added that Vinicius Jr apologized to his teammates during a meeting that Alonso did not attend.
