Real Madrid are gearing up for a major squad revamp this coming summer, with the club likely to offload multiple star players.

Veteran David Alaba and Dani Carvajal already had their farewell in their final match of the season against Athletic Club, but more would follow in the coming months.

One of the players tipped to leave is Dani Ceballos, who has no future at the Santiago Bernabeu and has been heavily linked with an exit.

According to Diario AS, Real Madrid are prepared to facilitate Ceballos’ departure as smoothly as possible, making concessions where necessary to help him find a new club this summer.

Real Madrid’s support for the fringe midfielder was evident even in the last game. Despite being frozen out of the squad, coach Alvaro Arbeloa included him in the squad.

Ceballos even appeared as a late substitute against Athletic Club, which appeared as a farewell send-off from the club.

Ceballos ultimately ended the season with 23 competitive appearances, struggling to even garner 1,000 minutes of action.

Ceballos’ dream destination remains Real Betis, a club he has always held close to his heart.

However, the stumbling block remains his salary demands, which the Seville club have historically found difficult to meet.

Real Madrid are optimistic that a solution can be found before the summer window closes, but the club are also realistic.

Ceballos came close to joining Betis in previous windows only for the deal to collapse at the last moment, meaning nothing can be taken for granted until an agreement is formally in place.

The coming few weeks, therefore, will be critical as Ceballos looks to find a new club or, better yet, return to Real Betis.
