According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid have no plans to sign a replacement if Dani Ceballos leaves the club this summer.

The midfielder is reportedly close to joining Marseille, having given the green light for the move.

The two clubs are currently negotiating the terms, with Real Madrid pushing for an outright sale while Marseille prefers a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option.

Will there be a replacement?

The key question for fans is whether Madrid will bring in someone new to fill the gap left by Ceballos. At the moment, the outlet assures that no new signings are expected.

Despite Xabi Alonso’s interest in strengthening the central midfield, the club has decided against recruiting a new player.

This is because the club is confident that the squad can cope even if Ceballos departs.

In-house replacement

Real Madrid is putting its faith in the youth academy to cover Ceballos’ potential exit. Thiago Pitarch, an 18-year-old academy graduate, is being seen as the natural replacement.

The youngster recently signed a new contract with the club and has been training with the first team under Xabi Alonso.

He even featured in a friendly match in Austria, giving fans a glimpse of his potential role in the squad.

For now, Pitarch would step in for Ceballos, and no other midfielders are expected to join Real Madrid.

Confidence in Pitarch

The only exception could be if Rodrygo were to leave, which currently seems unlikely. However, transfer windows can be unpredictable, and circumstances may change.

By relying on youth talent like Pitarch, Real Madrid is showing confidence in its academy and giving young players a chance to shine on the biggest stage.

The club is keeping things simple while focusing on long-term growth rather than making immediate signings.

For now, Ceballos’ departure seems manageable, and Real Madrid appear ready to move forward without looking for an external replacement.
