Despite a summer filled with transfer rumors, Real Madrid forward Rodrygo stayed put. The Brazilian had been linked to PSG, but no deal materialized.
Reports on PSG’s interest have varied. Foot Mercato’s Josué Cassé reported that Rodrygo was not on PSG’s shortlist. At the same time, Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg indicated that both PSG and Liverpool were keeping tabs on him, with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly out of the picture.
A PSG move could still be possible down the line, though any transfer would likely hinge on how Rodrygo’s role at Madrid develops this season.
Meanwhile, TEAMtalk claims Tottenham have made Rodrygo a top attacking target. Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the forward is eager to test himself in the Premier League and secure regular playing time.
Real Madrid could also look to leverage their interest in Micky van de Ven in any potential negotiations.

Defensa Central reports that Real Madrid’s patience with winger Rodrygo appears to be wearing thin, as the club is now open to offers around €50 million for the Brazilian international.
The 24-year-old has featured in only a limited role under Xabi Alonso this season. This month, TBR Football reported that Arsenal and Tottenham have been made aware that Rodrygo is once again weighing his future with Real Madrid.
Nonetheless, Real Madrid convinced the attacker to stay in Madrid during the summer transfer window, despite speculation about a possible move. But his doubts about playing time have turned out to be justified, with Xabi Alonso often turning to Franco Mastantuono and Arda Guler instead.
“Rodrygo’s situation has not improved this season,” TBR Football’s chief correspondent, Graeme Bailey, said. “As we reported in the summer, Xabi Alonso always planned on making Arda Guler one of his key figures, and that has played out as expected.
“With teen starlet Franco Mastantuono also getting regular game time, there is little sign of how Rodrygo can find a route back into the lineup. I am told that Rodrygo is again considering his options, and one possibility is a switch to the Premier League, which could become a real option in January. He is certainly one to watch as we approach the New Year.”
