Antonio Rudiger’s fitness has become a topic of discussion within Real Madrid, particularly regarding his knee condition.
Recently, journalist Rodra (h/t RM4 Arab), shared an update indicating that the club has expressed concerns about the German defender’s physical state.
Following the intense El Clasico, Rudiger experienced some discomfort, prompting the club to conduct tests to assess the situation.
Fortunately, the tests confirmed that there was no significant injury, and he was expected to be fit for the Valencia clash. Despite this positive news, there is still a degree of worry surrounding Rudiger’s overall health.
Real Madrid had intended to manage his workload more effectively this season, especially in light of recent developments. Leny Yoro’s snub and the departure of Nacho has altered the team’s dynamics.

Additionally, David Alaba is facing a challenging recovery process, and Joan Martinez, a player who had garnered much trust from the coaching staff, has suffered an unfortunate injury.
These factors have resulted in Rudiger accumulating an impressive total of 1,267 minutes on the pitch this season, which is significant for a player in his position.
Inside the club’s dressing room, teammates have expressed confidence in Rudiger’s fitness, describing him as being in excellent shape. He is known for his rigorous training regime and commitment during sessions.
Nonetheless, the persistent issue with his knee remains a cause for concern. There have been indications that he may be experiencing early signs of osteoarthritis in one of his knees, although the club has chosen not to officially confirm or deny this diagnosis.
With a busy schedule of matches approaching and Dani Carvajal unavailable due to injury, Carlo Ancelotti and his coaching staff are keen to manage Rudiger’s playing time carefully.
Their goal is to ensure he receives adequate rest to maintain his fitness and contribute effectively throughout the season.
