Real Madrid heads to Seville’s Estadio La Cartuja this Friday for their upcoming La Liga clash against Real Betis.
Los Blancos have made a flawless beginning to the 2026/27 league season, claiming victory in each of their first three fixtures. Under Jose Mourinho, the team has shown serious attacking strength, scoring 10 goals and letting in just two. Their latest outings featured a convincing 4-1 win over Real Sociedad, a tough 2-1 success on the road at Espanyol, and a dominant 4-0 clean-sheet performance against Málaga. Currently placed second in the table, they arrive with strong momentum even though injury problems have hit hard.
Defensively, Éder Militão and Ferland Mendy are both ruled out, dealing with hamstring and thigh injuries respectively. Up front, Rodrygo is also absent because of a knee problem.
The defensive options are further reduced with Raúl Asencio and Thiago Pitarch also unavailable for selection.
In another significant setback for midfield and attacking depth, Aurélien Tchouaméni and Endrick underwent late fitness checks but did not make the final travelling party.
Even with these important players missing, Mourinho still has access to a top-quality core group. Fully match-ready stars Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, and Vinícius Júnior are set to lead the forward line, while new midfield addition Sergio Martínez offers fresh energy from the substitutes’ bench as Real Madrid look to take all three points despite their thin squad options.
Possible Real Madrid starting XI: Courtois; Dumfries, Konate, Huijsen, Cucurella; Valverde, Silva; Guler, Bellingham, Vinicius; Mbappe
The match will kick off at 8pm BST on Friday, 4th September.
