Endrick has been one of the revelations in Ligue 1 since the turn of the year.

After joining Lyon from Real Madrid on a short-term loan deal, the Brazilian forward has lit up France with his skills and productivity, notably winning the Ligue 1 player of the month award in January.

In just six competitive matches for Lyon, Endrick has racked up five goals and an assist, including a hat-trick against Metz.

Endrick on who advised him to join Lyon

In the wake of his early success at Lyon, Endrick is extremely happy to have made the decision to join the French club.

In a recent interview with Telefoot, the Brazilian forward even revealed that the names of Real Madrid teammates who advised him to join Lyon.

“Kylian Mbappe and Eduardo Camavinga told me that Ligue 1 was a good championship and that it was a very aggressive league. They really advised me to join Lyon, because it’s a big team. I thank them for their good advice,” he said.

More than a month and a half into his spell at Lyon, Endrick is indeed having a good time in France.

His performances have even convinced Real Madrid, who are reportedly keen on making him a key component in the club’s plans for next season.

Lyon, for their part, are expected to try to extend the duration of the contract, which expires at the end of the season.

Endrick has had overtures from other clubs as well, including teams from the Premier League. But everything suggests he will return to Santiago Bernabeu at the end of the season.

It seems Endrick still has unfinished business at Real Madrid, having failed to make much of a breakthrough during his first two seasons at the club.
