Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler’s stellar showing in the club’s latest outing has on Sunday been aptly summed up by the statistics.
This comes after the young Turk played a starring role en route to Los Blancos booking their spot in the competition’s semi-finals.
Xabi Alonso’s troops were of course back in action late on Saturday, locking horns with German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund in New Jersey.
When all was said and done in a pulsating affair, Real emerged on the right side of a 3-2 result.
The aforementioned Güler for his part featured from the off in the cash, from his new berth at the heart of Xabi Alonso’s midfield.
And the 20-year-old, once more, went on to fully justify his inclusion.
Shining in all aspects of the game, Güler continued to make a case for himself as a mainstay in Real Madrid’s engine room setup, laying on two of his side’s three goals.
And as alluded to above, such excellence on the part of the Turkish international has since been well highlighted by the stats.
As revealed by Squawka:
‘Arda Güler created more big chances than any other player in the Club World Cup quarter-finals (2).’
Not only that, but:
‘Arda Güler also completed more final third passes than any other player during the Club World Cup quarter-finals (23).’
