Michael Olise is sparking new speculation amid the ongoing rumors surrounding Real Madrid. The Bayern star has removed all photos of himself wearing the jersey of Germany’s record-holding champions from his Instagram profile.
The rumors surrounding Michael Olise and Real Madrid show no signs of abating. Most recently, it was reported that Los Blancos view the French international as one of their top transfer targets for the coming years. Now, Olise himself is fueling new speculation.
The 24-year-old has almost completely cleared out his Instagram profile. All photos, including those from his time at FC Bayern, have been deleted. Currently, the only thing visible on his account is a series of photos from France’s World Cup opener against Senegal.
The timing is intriguing: After all, Olise has been heavily linked with Real Madrid for weeks. According to the Spanish newspaper AS , both President Florentino Pérez and Coach José Mourinho are said to be strong advocates of a transfer.
According to the report, the Madrid club is even considering an offer on a completely new scale. Internally, sums of up to 200 million euros are reportedly being discussed. Officially, however, Bayern has still not received an offer.
To many fans, his behavior on social media seems like a possible sign. However, a look back at his past suggests this interpretation is unlikely.
Back in 2023, while playing for Crystal Palace, Olise had already cleared his entire Instagram profile. At the time, there was speculation about a move to Chelsea FC. In the end, however, the attacking player did not move to London, but instead joined Bayern Munich a year later.
Deleting all posts therefore does not necessarily have anything to do with an impending transfer.
At Säbener Straße, the club’s stance remains unchanged anyway. Bayern considers Olise unsellable and views the Frenchman as one of the faces of the future.

President Herbert Hainer recently made it unmistakably clear: “Michael Olise is a Bayern Munich player who still has a long contract—and we are not a club that sells players. If Florentino Pérez wants to send us an offer—which hasn’t happened yet—he can save himself the trouble.”
Instead of considering a sale, the Munich club is already working on an early contract extension. According to information from L’Équipe, initial talks are set to begin immediately after the World Cup. Although Olise’s contract runs through 2029, Bayern wants to secure the exceptional talent for the long term and make him one of the club’s top earners in the future.
The new Instagram campaign is likely to further fuel the rumor mill, however. On the field, though, there are currently no indications that Olise doesn’t still see his future at FC Bayern.
