Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé receiving treatment on knee issue in Paris | OneFootball

Kylian Mbappé (27) currently finds himself in Paris undergoing treatment on an ongoing knee issue, according to a report from AFP.

The France captain has been struggling with an issue in his left knee since December. In recent days, there have been reports that he could undergo surgery on the issue, which would be a blow not only for Real Madrid, but also for Les Bleus, with the FIFA World Cup fast-approaching. 

Mbappé is now back in Paris, along with the Real Madrid medical staff, in order to undergo further tests on the ongoing issue, the Real Madrid forward’s entourage has told AFP. Those tests will allow for a more precise update on the evolution on the knee in question, the source added.

However, reports of an imminent surgical intervention have been dismissed. “At this stage, there is no question of surgery,” said the source. The former Paris Saint-Germain forward missed the game against Benfica in midweek and, given that he is currently in France, he will miss Monday’s game against Getafe, too.
