An insight into the stance of the powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid when it comes to a potential move for Manchester City star Rodri has been forthcoming online.

This comes, for those who may have missed it, after tentative claims emerged in the media that Los Blancos were considering what would come as a shock move for the Spanish international.

Real, it is understood, are back in the market for reinforcements in the middle of the park.

This comes after Dani Ceballos reiterated to the club’s board his desire to depart before the transfer window slams shut later this week.

A number of names from across the continent, in turn, have quickly been outlined as possible targets on the part of Carlo Ancelotti and co.

One player whom the La Liga champions have no intention of moving for, however, is the aforementioned Rodri.

Despite rumours to the contrary, Madrid-based outlet Marca have confirmed that:

‘On Wednesday evening, various news items in England pointed to Real Madrid’s interest in signing Rodrigo, but the club is not considering an operation of that calibre, with the midfielder and City involved.’
