Paris Saint-Germain could be looking to add more depth at the left-back position behind Nuno Mendes, especially considering the player has dealt with injuries in the past. Where could the capital club look to? Perhaps at Real Madrid.
The French giants did nab Keylor Navas a few seasons ago to add a veteran presence to their goalkeeping position. PSG could be looking to replicate the same formula with Ferland Mendy.
Mendy’s contract with the Spanish side expires next summer and if there’s no extension, he could leave as a free agent. As a result, the reigning Ligue 1 champions have the 28-year-old on the list of targets.
According to Tomás González-Martín, Mendy has offers from PSG and the Premier League, but in England, they prefer attacking full-backs. He could leave as a free agent next year with Fran Garcia could also be loaned out if both Davies and Mendy stay.
The former Olympique Lyonnais standout appeared in 37 matches across all competitions last season for Real Madrid, scoring one goal while helping them win La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
