Real Sociedad will face Fenerbahce in the Europa Cup last 16, with the first leg in Zubieta on 9 or 10 October and the return in Istanbul on 10 or 11 November.
According to Diario Vasco, if they progress they would meet PSV or Eintracht Frankfurt, and would not face Wolfsburg until the final, set for 1 or 2 May then 8 or 9 May.
Real advanced by beating Hearts 4-0 on aggregate, while Fenerbahce eased past Minsk 5-1.
Fenerbahçe Petrol Ofisi, founded in 2021, have swiftly become champions of Türkiye and regulars in Europe. They dropped from the Champions League, beating FC Kharkiv 2-1 then losing to OH Leuven on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
Coach Gökhan Bozkaya, 45, emerged from Fenerbahce’s academy and was Malatyaspor assistant. Forwards Andrea Stasková, with Juventus and Atlético Madrid experience, Marie Ngah, who scored twice against Minsk, and captain Yagmur Uraz are key.
They promise a physical test with quick transitions and set-piece threat. Jamaica captain Konya Plummer anchors the defence, with Moldova goalkeeper Natalia Munteanu also in the squad.
Form is imposing, a 3-0 win at Besiktas after a 12-0 over Cekmekou. They lead with 12 points from four games, 20 scored and none conceded.
Real hold a slight edge given experience against Barcelona and Real Madrid, though a closer tie than Hearts is expected. Coach Gorka Álvarez offered a cautious early view, noting the long trip and that a home first leg could shape things a little, and stressing a step-by-step approach. He added Fenerbahce’s big name and fervent support may make for attractive games, though he was unsure how much that translates to the women’s game.
