According to Diario Vasco, more than 500 Real Sociedad supporters will base 150 motorhomes on Avenida Carlos III in Seville, next to the club’s fan zone. The caravan trip is timed around the Copa del Rey final.

The Sorbeltz association has arranged a nearby site by La Cartuja for multiple nights. It is a private, enclosed area with 24-hour security, booked via a form stating vehicle and occupants, at 10 euros per night per caravan.

Organiser Alberto Pérez said he and fellow fans plan to camp together, while his wife, Arantza Otamendi, has led preparations in their vehicle. A gym near Avenida Carlos III will offer showers to participants.

The long road trip is driven by cost and distance. Seville is almost 1,000 kilometres from Gipuzkoa, with flights around 700 euros and hotels quoted at about 1,100 euros per night, so many have opted for motorhomes to cut costs.

Arantza, a Real member for more than 25 years, recalls the 1987 Zaragoza final and trips to Manchester and Lisbon. Pérez also attended the women’s final at La Romareda.

The couple intend to arrive on Wednesday, possibly Tuesday, and might stay on for part of the feria. They hope to head home with the Cup.

These 150 vehicles will not be alone. Nearby campsites, including Carcaracol in Alcalá de Guadaíra about 10 minutes by car from Seville, have taken bookings from txuri-urdin groups, with some latecomers hiring vehicles elsewhere in Spain.
