Real Sociedad are already in the process of trying to spend the money they will soon receive for Robin Le Normand, who is expected to officially join Atletico Madrid in the very near future. A new winger is being pursued by sporting director Roberto Olabe, with Galatasaray’s Kerem Akturkoglu being their primary target at this stage.
Akturkoglu, who is currently at Euro 2024 with Türkiye, is attracted by the possibility of plying his trade in La Liga, and it has been reported by media outlets in Türkiye – as covered by Cadena SER – that Galatasaray are open to hearing offers for the 26-year-old winger.
For now, La Real are best-placed to sign Akturkoglu, but their latest proposal, which was worth an estimated €13m, has been rejected by Galatasaray.
It remains to be seen whether Real Sociedad go back with another offer for Akturkoglu. It is curious that they are going for a left winger, given that they already have the likes of Mikel Oyarzabal and Ander Barrenetxea.
