Real Sociedad snap up departing Arsenal youngster | OneFootball

A recently-departed member of the youth ranks at Premier League giants Arsenal has agreed on the terms of a move to Spain, with Real Sociedad.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing BBC Sport, who point towards Zac Shuaib as the player in question.

Shuaib, for his part, is an 18-year-old midfielder, who has spent recent seasons developing on the books of the aforementioned Arsenal.

The Englishman’s contract with the Gunners expired at the end of June, however, after the parties failed to come to an agreement on the terms of an extension.

As much opened the door for clubs from across Europe to enter the fray for Shuaib’s signature.

And as alluded to above, this week, one such suitor, in Real Sociedad, have beaten out the competition to land the youngster.

As per a report from MD, following a successful trail period in San Sebastian:

‘Young talent Zac Shuaib, who MD already mentioned as an option in April, is reportedly close to signing a contract with Real Sociedad, according to British outlet BBC Sport.’
