Valencia are preparing to lose Javi Guerra this summer, with as many as four clubs having shown interest in the 21-year-old midfielder. Girona are the ones to have pressed hardest to make a deal happen, but so far, their efforts have been without success.
Over the weekend, Girona submitted a third offer to Valencia, which was worth closer to the €20m asking price that Los Che have set. It was rejected, although this has not disheartened the Catalans, who are now considering whether to make a fourth attempt – as revealed by Relevo.
Real Sociedad are also in for Guerra, although they need to wait to close the sale of Mikel Merino before they can proceed. The report highlights the good relationship that La Real have with Valencia, and when they do submit an offer, it will be very close to the demands that have been set.
One of these demands is a sell-on clause, which Real Sociedad are happy to agree to. They’re preparing to go all-out to sign Guerra in the coming weeks, although until Merino departs, they will remain idle on the matter.
