Spain are into the World Cup final after a 2-0 win over France, and Real Sociedad now know their FIFA compensation. According to Diario Vasco, the club expect around one point seven million euros from the FIFA Club Benefits Programme for six players with current or recent ties.

FIFA pays €9,321 per player per day, with €305 million to be distributed. The clock runs from the first day of national team camp to the day of the last match, and payments are allocated based on where each player was registered over the past two years.

Captain Mikel Oyarzabal joined Spain’s camp on 30 May and will play the 19 July final, worth €466,000 to Real. Martin Zubimendi, yet to feature, is also in the squad. His amount is split between Real and Arsenal because of his last two seasons, giving Real €233,000.

Croatia’s Luka Sucic and Duje Caleta-Car have generated more than half a million euros combined. With their camp starting on 25 May and Croatia exiting against Portugal in the last 32, Real will receive €363,519 for Sucic and €181,760 for Caleta-Car.

Gonçalo Guedes’ involvement with Portugal brings €163,118. Take Kubo’s World Cup with Japan, injury included, is worth €281,951 to Real.

The near one point seven million euros falls short of the sum from Euro 2024, when Spain lifted the trophy. Thanks to UEFA compensation, Real earned more than two million euros for Mikel Oyarzabal, Álex Remiro, Robin Le Normand, Martin Zubimendi and Mikel Merino, all of whom had spent the previous two campaigns at the club.
