Axel Disasi has made a huge impact since joining West Ham on loan in January, and his captain has been signing his praises.
Chelsea’s January was pretty quiet, with the majority of business just being some loan tweaks here and there.
One move from the first team squad was Axel Disasi going to West Ham until the end of the season. He’s made a superb start there, and since going into the team the Hammers have been keeping clean sheets and have massively improved their odds of avoiding relegation.

Axel Disasi signs on loan for West Ham.
In a dire game against Bournemouth on Saturday, Disasi almost scored an early header which could have proved crucial. But either way, he’s single-handedly made a huge impact on their season. And the players know it.
“You can’t expect to concede two or three goals every week and pick up results. We knew we needed to improve and change. And I think Axel has come in and been a really big presence,” his captain Jarrod Bowen said of Disasi.

One attacker who Chelsea did sign was Kendry Paez, way back in 2023. He’s not had a good time of it since, and there has today been more bad news about his progress.
The race for the top 5 is going to be so tight now, and Gary Lineker’s take on the final lineup is rather interesting for Chelsea fans…
