Rob Edwards praised Tolu Arokodare after the striker came off the bench to make an important contribution at Brentford, keeping Wolves unbeaten. According to ExpressAndStar.com, Edwards lauded the 25-year-old's response and resilience.
Arokodare struck three minutes after his introduction, nodding in a 77th-minute leveller. The result extended Wolves' run to three matches without defeat and made it seven Premier League points from nine.
It was the Nigerian international's third goal of the season from 27 appearances. The moment arrived only weeks after he received racist abuse on social media following a missed penalty in Wolves' defeat to Crystal Palace.
Edwards said he was pleased for Arokodare, noting the forward had been disappointed not to start but came on to influence the game. He added he could not speak for the player, but acknowledged the recent difficulties after Palace.
He reflected that football can change quickly, and players always have chances to put things right or make an impact. He felt Arokodare had done exactly that in west London.
