Recently-departed Atlético Madrid star on verge of Roma switch | OneFootball

A former member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Atlético Madrid is closing on a move to Serie A.

That’s according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Mario Hermoso as the player in question.

Spaniard Hermoso has for his part been without a club since earlier this summer.

This comes after the 29-year-old failed to find an agreement on the terms of a renewal with long-time employers Atlético Madrid.

A whole host of sides from across the continent have in turn been tipped as potential landing spots for Hermoso.

And, as alluded to above, this weekend, one such suitor appear primed to close an imminent agreement with the stopper and his entourage.

As per a report from Fabrizio Romano:

‘AS Roma are close to reaching verbal agreement with Mario Hermoso on personal terms. Galatasaray are still there but Roma are pushing with Daniele De Rossi insisting to have Hermoso.’
