Red Bull Bragantino end talks to sign Wallace Yan after fee dispute | OneFootball

Red Bull Bragantino have ended talks to sign Wallace Yan after failing to reach agreement with Flamengo during the current window.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Bragantino chief executive Diego Cerri said the club identified the forward, spoke with Flamengo and discussed figures, but negotiations did not advance. He described the player as fitting their young profile and proven at a top side with titles, yet the sides could not align on price.

Bragantino initially offered a fixed fee, then switched to a package split between a fixed sum and performance-related add-ons, after which Flamengo stepped back. Flamengo also sought a percentage of any future sale, a condition Bragantino opposed, and the talks were closed.

Wallace Yan has missed three matches for Flamengo since reporting muscular pain before facing Botafogo in the Carioca. He is undergoing physical reconditioning.

With his involvement uncertain, Flamengo face Lanús of Argentina in the Recopa Sul-Americana second leg at the Maracanã on Thursday 26, kick-off 21:30 Brasília time.
