Red Bull New York have loaned forward Roald Mitchell to Danish Superliga side Viborg FF, the club announced Wednesday.

The 23-year-old homegrown's loan is through June 30, 2027.

“Roald has made significant strides in his development over the past year, and this move presents an excellent opportunity for him to continue that progress in a new environment,” said head of sport Julian de Guzman. “Competing in a highly competitive league will provide valuable experience and help further his growth as a striker.”

Mitchell has spent the last three seasons with the Red Bulls after playing collegiately at Wake Forest. He's made six appearances for his boyhood club.

He's also featured extensively for RBNY's MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, Red Bull New York II, featuring 39 times and recording 23g/7a.

Internationally, Mitchell has made four appearances for Trinidad & Tobago, including one appearance during 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
