Chelsea are preparing to take on Tottenham tomorrow night, and the Blues could be without some big players.

While this season has been a huge disappointment, there’s still a lot to play for tonight. Chelsea can still sneak into a European place with good results in their two matches this week, and they can put Tottenham into relegation trouble again by beating them this evening.
Despite all that, manager Calum McFarlane isn’t going to take any risks with his players. We’ve already heard him cast doubt on whether Levi Colwill will start, given he’s only just come back from a long term injury and has played three times in two weeks since.
Asked whether he would risk Reece James and Joao Pedro with another start so soon after Saturday’s FA Cup final defeat, McFarlane made it sound unlikely:
“Yeah, with all the players, we have to see how they come back in today, how they were in yesterday,” the coach said.
“Hopefully it’s positive signs today when they report and when they train, they feel good. And we’ll make a decision on that as late as we possibly can.”
With the World Cup coming up, we can’t imagine any risks will be taken.
McFarlane also promised his players were going to show plenty of passion and fight when they take on Tottenham later today.
Xabi Alonso has to fix his dressing room this summer – they gave up on our last coach, and there are clearly some bad apples in there.
