The referees’ committee has confirmed Hernández Maeso will take charge of Levante UD against Deportivo Alavés on matchday 26 of LaLiga EA Sports.

The fixture is pivotal in the fight to stay up.

Hernández Maeso previously officiated the 2023 promotion play-off final to the Primera División.

In that match he awarded a contentious penalty in stoppage time of extra time.

The decision left Levante in the Segunda División for another season.
