Reggiani the "hottest candidate" for Dortmund exit this winter | OneFootball

As reported by local news Ruhr Nachrichten, Luca Reggiani is considered the "hottest candidate for departure" in the winter.

Niko Kovač hasn't really found a use for the Italian international so far this campaign in Borussia Dortmund's defence.

Barring brief appearance in the DFB-Pokal and, one in the Bundesliga, it's too little for the Italian who expects more after last season.

As a result, the solution for the Westphalians could well be to cash in, as they are also looking to make some signings.

Marcel Regula from Zagłębie Lubin was already a target in summer and is once again at the top of BVB's winter wishlist.

Interest in Reggiani is clearly high given just before the summer transfer deadline, Southampton submitted a concrete offer.

Italian clubs, including AC Milan, were also interested. However, a transfer didn't materialize for the 18-year-old talent.
