Régis Le Bris praised Chemsdine Talbi's response and his display on recall in the 1-1 draw with Wolves, after Sunderland played much of the match with 10 men.

According to Sunderland Echo, Le Bris believes the winger is progressing in his first Premier League season. Talbi then lost his starting place after March's Tyne-Wear derby win, despite scoring the equaliser, and was an unused substitute in the 5-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Restored to the starting line-up against Wolves, Le Bris felt he handled the circumstances well.

The head coach highlighted Talbi's professionalism in training when omitted and said the youngster must seize opportunities across either flank, including as a wing-back.

Talbi said he aims to give everything whenever selected and, even when he feels he deserves to play, knows he must prove his qualities on the pitch.

Le Bris also brought Enzo Le Fée into central areas and moved Trai Hume to the right, and he was pleased with the change.

He said Le Fée is most effective in the central corridor, where his movement and understanding with Granit and Noah stand out, and suggested the tweak could be used more before the season ends. He added that, after a heavy defeat, shifting the dynamic was important.
